Obituary Eddie Jordan Jr.
After a life filled with love, family and friends, Eddie Jordan, Jr. passed away at age 83 on May 7, 2025, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA., surrounded by his four children and a beloved niece.
Eddie was born in Elm Park, LA on July 7, 1941. He was a long time resident of Port Hudson, LA. He left Louisiana to serve in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force in the late 1960s. He later worked for the U.S. Department of Labor as Chief of Claims in Dallas, TX. Upon retirement, Eddie returned to Port Hudson, LA which he described as "A slice of heaven".
He is survived by his brother; Edward C. Jordan, his four children; Edlyn Rae, Robert C., Ryan E. and Patria Ren (Jordan) Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grand and great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held at Richardson Funeral Home (11816 Jackson St. Clinton, LA) May 19, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Celebration of Life Services will be held at Union Baptist Church (5350 Old Slaughter Rd in Zachary, LA) May 20, 2025 beginning at 11:00 AM. Viewing prior to services at Union Baptist Church from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Interment will be at the Louisiana National Cemetery (303 W. Mount Pleasant Rd – Zachary, LA) May 20th at 2:00 PM.
