38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
Brother L. C. Banks III, fondly know as “Juno” was born on March 19, 1975, to the late Sandra Joyce Jarrell Wheelock and L. C. Banks II in Compton, CA. Reared and nutured in a Christian family, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Personal Savior. He was baptized by Bishop George Veal at Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Norwood, LA Mount Calvary Baptist Church was more than a place of worship for Juno—it was an extension of his family, a sanctuary where he found belonging and purpose.
On Sunday, August 10, 2025, the one we loved and knew stepped across the threshold that we call death. It was but a stepping into one of the other rooms of our Father’s House. In His own way and for His own purposes, God has reached down into our midst and called the spirit of our dearly belove Brother L.C.Banks, III, home to be with him throughout eternity. Brother Banks was educated in the East Feliciana Parish School System. He continued his education and received a GED and became a licensed eletricican. He has worked at Dow Chemical, UPS, FedEx and Amazon.
Brother “Juno’s” life was brightened by his deep enthusiasm for sports and the simple pleasure of a good game of dominoes. Juno could often be found gathered around a table, playing dominoes with friends and loved ones. For him, the game was not just about strategy or luck, but about laughter and bonds strengthened with each round. Dominoes became a traditional gentle challenge, a meeting of minds, and an invitation to relax together after a long day. But above all, it was Juno’s family who held the most special place in his heart. His love for them was unwavering and boundless. His memory lives on in the laughter, stories, and love that continue to bind his family.
