Obituary of Albirtha Davis

Albirtha Kelly Davis, known as "Dear, Berte and Kitten", completed her earthly journey at Grace Health & Rehab Center in Slaughter, LA, on Saturday, January 16, 2016. Funeral arrangements will be Friday, January 22, 2016, at New Hope Baptist Church, Rev. James Turner, Pastor, Slaughter, Louisiana. Visitation starts at noon until the religious services at 1:00 pm. Sister Davis was united in marriage to the late Brother Herman Davis, and she leaves to cherish her memories one son, Alphonse Kelly, of Baker, LA; two grandchildren, Christopher Ray Kelly of Zachary, LA; Marquis Roshun Kelly of Richmond, VA; three great grandchildren, one sister, Lillie Brooks of Ethel, LA; four brothers-in-law, Earl Davis, Allen Davis of Slaughter, LA; Percy Davis, Eugene Davis, of Raceland, LA; one sisters-in-law, Shirley Holiday of Baton Rouge, LA; two god-daughters, Janie Hawkins and Sherlyn Rogers of Zachary, LA. and a devoted friend and caretaker for many years Brigette Bell, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents,Van and Betty Kelly, seven sisters and three brothers, one sister-in-law Ella Rogers and one daughter-in-law, Laura Kelly. Richardson Funeral Home, Clinton, Louisiana, in charge of arrangements.
