Sis. Sara Smothers Boatner was born in St. Francisville, Louisiana to the Rev. Major Smothers, Sr. and Sis Anna Smothers on September 11, 1940.
She was married to Bro. Shelby Boatner and enjoyed fifty-two years of marriage until god called her home.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sisters, Alice Armstrong, St. Francisville and Georgia Shropshire, New Orleans; two brothers, george and richard Shropshire, New Orleans; her niece, Lillie Armstrong, New Orleans, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and her Mount Hermon Baptist Church family.
