Larry Michael Jarrell was born May 31, 1955 to the late Levi and Mary Jarrell in New Orleans, Louisiana. His Godly life ended 0n February 24, 2016 in Bronx, New York.
Larry accepted Christ at the age of 6. Larry along with his father, two brothers and two sisters were baptized by the late Rev. John Wilson at the New Zion Baptist Church in Gurley, Louisiana. He later moved his membership to the Freeman Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. J.G. Richardson.
Larry was a 1973 graduate of Jackson High School and attended Southern University in 1973. In 1974 Larry joined the Army and served his country for 11 years.
Larry relocated to Bronx,New York in 1994 where he redicated his life to the Lord. Elder Elect Larry Michael Jarrell became a member of the Saints of Jesus Christ Church in 1996. In May 2007 Elder Jarrell joined Simple Truth Ministries, Inc. and in November of 2007 he was officially ordained as a minister. He served as the
Mission Director, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Pastor,and leader of Congregational Prayer. He faithfully attended Missionary Nursing Home Outreach and Bible Study Classes.
Larry was blessed with one step-daughter; Quia11a Pryor, Mc Donough , GA; one son; Lovaun Jarrell, Stone Mountain , GA; two brothers, Donald Jarrell,Baker, LA; Clovis Jarrell, Clinton, LA;three sisters; Bertha Mae Jarrell, Baker, LA; Doris Elaine Lewis, Clinton, LA; Lillian (Anthony) Sims, Jackson, LA ; one god-brother; Ronnie Williams, Zachary, LA; three uncles; Charlie Jarrell, Sr., Baton Rouge, LA ; Steve Jarrell, Kenner, LA; Jesse (Mary) Jarrell; Fayetteville,North Carolina; two aunts; Mary Francis Hendrix of San Antonio, TX; Sarah Shropshire, Clinton, LA; special friend ,Robin Jarrell, Atlanta, GA; and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Mary Lou Jarrell, one great niece, Sa'Kyiah Jefferson; material and paternal grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles.
