Walter E. Barnes a resident of Clinton, LA departed this life on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at his home at the age of 93. He was known for planting, gardening and doing things for everyone he met. Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2016 9am until Funeral Service at11am at Richardson Funeral Home of Clinton 11816 Jackson Street Clinton. Pastor Roy Miller, Officiating. Interment in St. John Baptist Church Cemetery 6148 Gilead Rd.
He is survived by his children’s mother Rosie Lee Barnes; daughters Vinia Flowers, Jean Dunn, Orea Collins and Elaine Armstrong; son George Barnes; sister Addie Williams; brothers Clyde Barnes and Aaron Barnes; and 17 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Beatrice Barnes.
