Alma Lee Woods Whitley, 81, a native of Norwood, LA, resident of Baton Rouge, LA, died on Sunday, June 19, 2016. She was retired from Community Network, Inc. after decades of caring for the mentally ill. At the time of her death, she was volunteering as a foster grandparent at Southdowns Elementary. Visitation will be at Greater New Zion Baptist Church in Norwood, LA on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 9 until religious services begin at 11 am, conducted by Rev. Burnett G. King, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly W. Moye and husband Jeffrey; her son, Anthony C. Whitley; grandson, Jordan Leo Whitley; special niece and nephews, Evelyn A. Dumas, Charles R. Young and Darryl Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and four sisters. Interment at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Norwood, LA. Arrangements entrusted to Richardson Funeral Home of Clinton.
