Obituary of Cloretta Matthews

A native of Jackson and resident of Wilson, Cloretta departed this life on Wednesday November 22, 2017 at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary at the age of 60. She was employed as a Food Service Worker for 13 years at East Louisiana Mental Health System contracted through Valley. She served as church secretary for almost 40 years at Morning Glory Baptist Church in Wilson, under the leadership of Rev. Gloria Burrell and was a 1974 graduate of Jackson High School. She is survived by three devoted and loving children: Eric, Milton and La'Keesha Matthews. One grandchild: Rodderek Williams, all of Wilson. One loving aunt: Ollie Mae Jones of Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8 pm on Friday, December 01, 2017 at Richardson Funeral Home, 11816 Jackson Street in Clinton, LA 70722. Religious service will be on Saturday, December 02, 2017 at 11 am at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 9789 Wilson-Clinton Road Wilson, LA 70789. Officiating Rev. Joseph B. Combs. Interment will be in church cemetery.
