John L. Coleman Obituary
On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, John Leroy Coleman transitioned peacefully to his eternal home with the Lord. John was born December 16, 1946, to the late Virginia Coleman.
He was preceded in death by his mother, wife, Dianne Hence Coleman, son John Philip Coleman, and sisters, Thelma Wright, Ora Lee Wright, and Brenda Charleston. John was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Tandra (Derick) Perkins, son John Gregory (Samone) Coleman, grandchildren Braylen Perkins, Karmelo Coleman, Bella Coleman, Gabrielle Sullivan, and Anquan Kennedy. He will also be dearly missed by his siblings, Linda (Anthony) Bankston, Patricia Young, and Connie Mutin, brothers, Samuel Coleman and Levi Charleston, Jr., sisters-in-law Joann Hence, Eunice (Willard) Johnson, Delores (Frank) Crump, brothers-in-law, Chancy (Diana) Hence, and Earl (Retha) Wright, and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Traveler’s Rest Baptist Church, 9506 Virginia St, Wilson, LA 70789 on October 5, 2024, at 10:30a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Dubose Cemetery, Norwood, Louisiana. Pastor Levi A. Wright officiating.
