Born
on March 17, 1981, to John A. and Doris Hamilton Stewart, Kris was a proud St. Patrick’s Day baby. He accepted Christ at an early age, at Greater Oak Grove Baptist Church under the guidance of Rev. Henry Frazier. As a dedicated student and athlete, Kris graduated
from both Northeast High School and Grambling State University. While at Grambling, he played offensive and defensive line as well as special teams (kicker) for the Tigers, earning three Black College Football National Championship rings.
On
May 25, 2019, Kris united in marriage with Dorian Jarrell Williams. Together, they raised their two beloved canines, Khaous and Bourbon.
Kris
dedicated his career to the East Baton Rouge Parish School System and was serving as a paraprofessional at Northeast Elementary School at the time of his passing. He was known for his warm spirit and bright smile.
He
is survived by his wife, Dorian; daughter, Aneesa; parents, John A. and Doris H.; grandmother, Ann; brother, John K.; sister, Dominicka; nephew, Johntrell; nieces, Nevaeh and Dillan; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who held a special place in his
heart. Kris’s extended family includes Alfred (Pearlena), Ruffin (Lutherene), Sally (Willis), Bernell, Michael, Thomas, Helen, Maurice (Valarie), Santa (Mark), Tanya, and Torey (Larry), as well as members of the Jole Social Club.
Kris’s
life was enriched by countless cherished moments with his special cousins, too numerous to name. He looked forward to and deeply valued the bonds and shared experiences he cultivated with each of his family and friends.
