Keep your hands in God's unchanging hand. Remember that your dad is absent here, but present with the Lord. You all will see him again one day.

Freddie and I talked on the phone sometimes when I lived at my mom's house in Clinton. When I would answer the phone, he would say: "Is this my girlfriend?" I would always say: "Yes if this is my boyfriend. " And he would say: "It's so good to hear your voice." I would say the same back to him. This conversation always made both of us smile. I will have that memory of Freddie in my heart forever.
