Dear Dad,
You are my rock in the river who shielded me from the torrent of life until from under your keen watchful eye you felt I was ready to swim this river I call my life. You are my literal and figurative anchor who held me securely in my ocean of existence until my course was plotted and I was ready to set sail. Then it was you who blew wind into my sails that propelled me and steadied me on my journey of life. You are my teacher, my mentor, my friend, my guide, my kick in the tail, but most importantly you are my Father! You are the husband, father, and son that never stops loving, you are the teacher that never stops teaching, you are the student that never stops learning, and you are a servant of the Lord that never stops serving help, wisdom, and kindness to those who need it. The world knew you as Charlie Taylor, Jr. but I was lucky and blessed enough to know you as Dad. Dad I love you and I miss you! By the way I'll keep that special line open for ya' so you can call anytime you'd like and you know I'll answer every single time :)
Until we meet again,
Your youngest baby, Jason D'Orsay Taylor

My Dearest Charlie, Jr.
Here it is one day after witnessing along with so many loved ones, YOUR BEAUTIFUL FINISH LINE MEMORIAL SERVICE, that I'm so very much "into" the thoughts of the glorious and amazing times we shared together with immediate family, extended family, friends, relatives, associates, et al. I reminisce a lot; cry some; reminisce some more, and cry some more, and start all over again. But I know that with the grace of God and our loving memories, the tremendous support from loved ones, and your constant loving spirit; we'll weather the storm through these trying times. Brian Courtney Wilson sings, "It's Gonna Be Alright."
Like, Tamela sings, "I Can Only Imagine" what the joyous feeling will be like when we re-unite in God's Kingdom.
And one of your favorite singers, Lee Williams sang it so well, "We Just Stopped By, On Our Way Home." With a few more risings and settings of the sun, we'll be home TOGETHER. Until then...
LOVE,
Cat (Hon)

Uncle Charlie, I will never forget your impactful presents, amazing smile, and your courageous strength. I love you so much and will miss you tremendously. Especially your calls, “Hello Debbie, this is your Uncle Charlie and Aunt Cat calling....” Not only will I miss you but a whole lot of other people you touched with your grace. To Aunt Cat, Rod, and Jason: I wish I had the right words to say, but know that I love you. May God continue to surround you with His loving arms during your loss.

Aunt Cath and Son... Always look ahead to tomorrow There is always the hope of tomorrow To brighten the clouds of today, There is always a corner for turning, No matter how weary the way.... So just look ahead to tomorrow and trust that you'll Find waiting there The sunlight that seemed to be hidden By yesterday's cloud of despair. Wishing you whatever you all need to put a little sunshine In your day. Love Niece Trish

Uncle....you were most kind. Kindness is a language the deaf can hear and dumb can understand. We know the smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention. You were cheerful and greeted others with a smile. You created an environment, in which allowed others to thrive. You were a person, people like to be around. How easily we pass judgement on others, assuming we know all the facts of their situation. You treated people the way, you wanted to be treated. Perhaps, remembering that we don't always know the burden, others may be carrying. Uncle, with much love from your niece Trish, you will greatly be missed.

My Dearest Charlie, Jr.
You transitioned unexpectedly Saturday afternoon and I'm in a quandary. The pain of grief is tremendous and it seems to be increasing. I miss you so much. I am so accustomed to YOU being by my side and I call your name in vain forgetting that you have reached that "finish line" that you have referenced in your self-written obituary. One of these old days we'll meet again
when I too reach that "finish line." I pray that God will help US navigate this storm. Until WE meet again Sweetheart in God's
glorious KINGDOM.....
Farewell
